Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead ABB Marine & Ports’ Asset Performance Management (APM) activities, helping customers improve the reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance of critical marine assets, including drives, automation systems, and Azipod® propulsion.You will combine asset management, reliability engineering, condition monitoring, and data analytics to identify performance improvements, anticipate failures, and optimize maintenance strategies. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of digital APM solutions that deliver measurable value for our customers.

The work model for the role is: hybrid, #LIhybrid

Location: Finland or Norway

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading APM strategies and initiatives for critical marine assets.

  • Designing and implementing Asset solutions (condition monitoring, predictive/prescriptive maintenance, digital twin). 

  • Analyze asset performance and reliability data to identify risks and improvement opportunities.

  • Driving improvements in asset reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance.

  • Collaborating with global, cross-functional teams to deliver APM solutions and projects.

  • Supporting customers and business teams with APM expertise and value-driven solutions.

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Several years of experience in Asset Performance Management, reliability, asset management, maintenance, or related areas.

  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle and reliability principles.

  • Knowledge of Azipod®, drives, automation, and control systems is seen as an advantage.

  • Experience with condition monitoring, data analytics, or predictive maintenance is beneficial.

  • Strong analytical, collaborative, and problem-solving skills with a mindset for innovation and continuous improvement.
