As our Engineering Resource & Capacity Planner, you'll be the person who brings clarity to complexity. You'll connect project demand with engineering capability, ensuring the right expertise is available at the right time. By providing visibility across our organization, you'll help drive project success, support business growth, and enable ABB to deliver on its commitments.

You'll be the central link between Sales, Project Managementand Engineering, helping ABB balance today's priorities with tomorrow's opportunities.

From evaluating new project opportunities to forecasting future capacity needs, you'll ensure our engineering organization has the visibility, resources and planning required to deliver world-class automation solutions. Through data-driven insights and close stakeholder collaboration, you'll help shape how ABB grows, scales and executes its projects.

Your day-to-day includes

  • Aligning engineering capacity with business demand, ensuring the right expertise is available to successfully deliver ongoing and future projects.

  • Acting as the central coordination point between Sales, Project Management and Engineering, translating project needs into effective resource plans.

  • Supporting commercial decisions by providing insights into capacity availability, planning risks and delivery feasibility during the quotation process.

  • Building and maintaining a forward-looking resource and capacity plan, proactively identifying bottlenecks, skill gaps and future workforce needs.

  • Monitoring resource utilization across engineering teams and driving balanced workload distribution and efficient resource allocation.

  • Turning planning data into clear reports, dashboards and recommendations that support fact-based business decisions.

  • Coordinating internal and external resources, resolving capacity conflicts and continuously improving planning processes and tools.

What makes you right for this role?

  • We're looking for someone who combines analytical strength with strong stakeholder management skills. Someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, connecting people and projects, and translating data into meaningful business decisions.

  • An effective communicator who can collaborate confidently with stakeholders across different teams and organizational levels.

  • Organized, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a clear overview of business needs.

  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and supporting decisions through facts, data and business insights.

  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, ERP systems or project planning tools is a strong advantage.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

  • Educated to Bachelor's or Master's level, or bring equivalent experience.
