Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work of low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by displaying clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

This role is contributing to the Motion Service Division for Low Voltage, Medium Voltage drive as Field Service Engineer in Belux. Main stakeholders are Service Coordination Team, Customers, Motion Service Sales Team, Global teams & Division Manager.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Performing entry level field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products.

  • Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.

  • Executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and as quality standards.

  • Preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative.

Qualifications for the role

  • You have a strong passion for hands-on electromechanical tasks in the motion, drives, and rotating equipment service sector.

  • You have preferably 2–5 years of experience in motion service, field service engineering, or industrial automation

  • You are qualified in programming of drives and electromechanical works related to this product (retrofit, commissioning, trouble shooting, digital solutions, energy efficiency, preventive maintenance and so on)

  • You are passionate about electromechanics systems and act with curiosity, collaboration, care and courage to ensure customer satisfaction,

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics, or Automation Engineering

  • You are at ease communicating in French or Dutch and English

  • You hold a current driver’s license (B) valid in Belgium and a valid EU work permit.
