The Infrastructure Monitoring Specialist delivers holistic monitoring capabilities with operational statuses gathered, focusing on maximizing consumer experience and productivity. The goal to be achieved by collaborating with the teams to enhance and improve the current monitoring setup while adhering to the Observability standard framework and policies. Enable proactive and efficient monitoring, alerting complex infrastructure components. Collaborates with Domain Hosting and Business Areas to configure and implement relevant metrics.

A key resource on good technical knowledge on IT infrastructure, who contributes their expertise to enhance organizational effectiveness and support the organization’s vision and strategic direction.

The working model is: Hybrid.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure monitoring solution in-house.
  • Partner with support teams to ensure the proper monitoring of infrastructure systems.
  • Maintain and performs the necessary changes needed in the monitoring solution based on the need and monitoring requirement.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of the process / service.  
  • Engages with suppliers on new monitoring requirements or unsatisfactory performance and implements external partners-related service improvement initiatives and programs.   
  • Provides governance including documentation, tasks completion in accordance with the defined process(es).   
  • Collaborate with stakeholders as required

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, combined with over 5 years of proven experience in IT infrastructure management and support
  • Expertise in implementation and maintenance of monitoring solutions in a distributed setup (e.g. Checkmk, Nagios, ELK, etc.).
  • Expertise in IT Infrastructure technologies [OS (Windows, Linux), storage, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), database, backup solutions, etc..).
  • Expertise in Cloud platform (MS Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Able to manage, control, monitor, and apply best practices on the infrastructure monitoring.
  • Industry-recognized certifications in Cloud, RHEL, VMware, storage technologies, and ITIL v3/v4, demonstrating strong expertise in IT infrastructure and service management
  • Troubleshooting experience related to monitors / service checks set up in the tool for respective technologies.
  • Good scripting knowledge – PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with stakeholders across global locations.
