Ready to work in a high-tech production environment in Ede?

As an Injection Molding Operator, you play an important role in keeping our injection molding facility running and continuously improving. You will work with modern machines, robots, and a variety of materials in a dynamic 24/5 production environment. Experience in injection molding is a plus, but certainly not required — motivation and a willingness to learn make the difference.

We work according to ABB’s values: care, courage, curiosity & collaboration.

What will you be doing at ABB?

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the entire machine park within the injection molding department at ABB. Your main task is to monitor and manufacture products using injection molding machines, robots, and other peripheral equipment.

No two days are the same in this dynamic organization. Tasks range from setting up machines and changing molds to adjusting robots and performing quality checks.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Recording production progress in SAP and MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Performing (preventive) maintenance on machines

This is a three-shift position, including:

  • Morning shift: 06:00 – 14:00
  • Afternoon/evening shift: 14:00 – 22:00
  • Night shift: 22:00 – 06:00

The schedule for the coming year is already prepared, so you will know your shifts well in advance. You will also receive a shift allowance of 24%.

Your team

The factory in Ede is a production site for low-voltage components—products that make buildings smarter.

Within the injection molding department, three shifts operate 24/5 to produce our full range of 600 products. You will work with many different materials and collaborate closely with fellow operators and the team leader.

Together with your team, you are responsible for ensuring safety on the work floor. Following the 5S Lean program, you continuously work on workplace optimization with your colleagues.

What ABB is looking for

The variety in tasks, working hours, and collaboration across different teams requires a flexible mindset. You are positive, solution-oriented, and enjoy working on technical and mechanical challenges.

You will have the freedom to work independently within the team, but you also know when to ask for support.

Additionally, you bring:

  • Knowledge of injection molding
  • Interest in mechanical engineering/technology
  • Willingness to share responsibility and work in a three-shift system

What you will get in return

A job where no two days are the same. You will work for an international company that offers plenty of opportunities for personal development, with strong attention to safety and quality.

"Colleagues on the work floor are always there for each other."

We also offer:

  • A competitive salary including a 24% shift allowance
  • 40 days off (27 vacation days + 13 ADV days)
  • Autonomy within your team
  • Extensive development opportunities
  • The chance to work for a global leader in technology
