To strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for a dedicated, experienced Project Engineer. In this role, you take responsibility as a technical authority for electrical engineering projects with low to medium complexity – particularly for medium-voltage, low-voltage and standby power systems in the service business (retrofit). You implement the requirements of concepts within the specified time and budget framework and ensure that all specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and standards are consistently met.

Work Model: #hybrid Business Line: Service (Division Electrification)  

Your responsibilities

  • Product configuration, creation of electrical schematics using EPLAN and preparation of simple mechanical drawings using AutoCAD

  • Creation of selectivity calculations

  • Execution of type testing (design verifications) for non-standard configurations based on checklists and applicable standards

  • Technical support during tests and commissioning and support of project management in technical reviews, customer meetings and implementation of change and variation requests

  • Development of effort estimates and feasibility recommendations for the quotation team

  • Preparation of system documentation, as-built documents and acceptance records

Qualifications for the Role

  • Completed apprenticeship as an electrician or automation technician plus further training as a technician HF/FH or comparable qualification

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in project engineering, ideally in energy technology. Experience in mechanical engineering is an advantage.

  • Very good CAD skills in EPLAN Electric P8; AutoCAD skills are an advantage

  • Technical understanding of the engineering of power supply systems (MV/LV/emergency supply power), ideally with experience with low-voltage switchgear

  • Strong focus on safe working practices and commitment to compliance with all relevant safety guidelines

  • Very high self-motivation as well as independent, solution-oriented and responsible working methods

  • Team player with a cooperative approach and good communication skills; you are fluent in German and English – French language skills are an advantage
