Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to effective execution of customer and application specific solution development. Each day, you will act as the first point of contact in Research and Development for specific product-related modification cases. You will also demonstrate your knowledge by identifying, suggesting, and putting forward innovative solutions.

This role is contributing to the Drive Products division’s success, especially in Europe and South-East Asia. Main stakeholders are Sales, Product Management and production. Position is located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki and we expect you to be in there daily.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Maintaining solid knowledge of power electronics by integrating the latest developments in technologies, tools, and methodologies into your work.

  • Finding new ways of solving problems by following your ideas, creating hypotheses, and defining ways to validate them.

  • Documenting work results (like findings, designs, or software), allowing others to maintain and improve them.

  • Understanding and initiating IP generation in your area of specialization and participating in the project IP strategy development.

The work model for the role is: onsite

Our team dynamics You will join a capable Industrial Drives design and reliability engineering team where your contributions will matter.

Qualifications for the Role

  • At least 5 years of experience in power electronics or electrical design.

  • Practical mindset. Capability to transfer ideas to reality, first through prototyping leading to sellable products.

  • You enjoy working with people and interacting with sales and customers.

  • Good skills in defining and building measurement test set-ups and performing the test - including documentation with conclusions.

  • Motivated to adopt new ways of working, related to automation and utilizing AI.

  • B.Sc or M.Sc. in electronics or power electronics.

  • You are at ease communicating in English. Fluency in Finnish is beneficial.
