DeltaQuad develops advanced VTOL UAV systems for defence, public safety and commercial operators worldwide. Our multidisciplinary R&D team develops reliable products that operate in some of the world's most demanding environments.

As our products continue to evolve, we're looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of complex electronic systems from concept through production.

The role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for the architecture, development and integration of electronic hardware across our UAV platforms. You'll work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Software, Systems Engineering and Production to translate product requirements into reliable, manufacturable designs.

This is not purely a hardware design role. You'll also work directly with suppliers, coordinate technical development activities and ensure electronic subsystems are delivered on time, within specification and ready for production.

We're looking for someone who has experience developing highly integrated electronic products. Think of the complexity behind designing a smartphone: combining processors, power management, RF communication, sensors, high-speed interfaces and embedded hardware into one reliable, production-ready product. That level of systems thinking is exactly what we're looking for.

Your responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic hardware for UAV systems.

  • Define electronic architectures from concept through production.

  • Develop analogue and digital circuits, power electronics and communication interfaces.

  • Work closely with Embedded Software Engineers on hardware/software integration.

  • Support RF integration and communication systems.

  • Manage technical development activities for electronic subsystems.

  • Coordinate suppliers throughout design, prototyping and production.

  • Review schematics, PCB layouts and prototypes.

  • Perform testing, validation and root cause analysis.

  • Support Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design for Test (DfT) and Design for Assembly (DfA).

  • Drive continuous improvements in reliability, manufacturability and cost.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.

  • Several years of experience developing complex electronic products.

  • Proven ability to design complete electronic systems, from requirements through production.

  • Experience with PCB architecture, schematic design and multi-layer PCB development.

  • Experience working with Embedded Systems.

  • Good understanding of RF electronics and communication systems.

  • Experience working with external suppliers and contract manufacturers.

  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.

  • Comfortable coordinating multiple technical workstreams simultaneously.

  • Hands-on mentality and able to move between concept development and production support.

  • Fluent in English.

Nice to have

  • Experience developing highly integrated products such as smartphones, communication devices, IoT products, robotics or other advanced embedded systems.

  • Experience with EMC/EMI compliance.

  • Experience with UAVs, aerospace or defence products.

  • Familiarity with high-speed digital design.

  • Experience with wireless communication technologies.

What success looks like

You combine deep technical knowledge with excellent coordination skills. You understand how to architect complex electronic products rather than just individual circuits. Whether it's a smartphone, an IoT device or a UAV, you know how to integrate hardware, RF, embedded electronics and manufacturing considerations into one robust product. You work effectively with suppliers, keep technical projects moving and make sound engineering decisions while balancing quality, cost and lead time.

What we offer

  • Coaching and professional growth opportunities.

  • 27 vacation days (based on full-time).

  • 38-hour workweek with flexible working hours.

  • Travel reimbursement of €0.25/km or full compensation for public transport (2nd class).

  • Excellent pension scheme through the PME pension fund.

  • Work in an innovative, high-tech environment with real-world impact.

  • Open, informal company culture where your ideas are valued.

  • Lunch provided by DeltaQuad, monthly team drinks, and regular team activities.

Please note that, as part of our recruitment process, we may request a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and conduct a background screening in accordance with our screening policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation throughout this process.
