Your Role and Responsibilities 

We are now looking for a new Sourcing Manager to join our team in IEC LV Motors Vaasa. In this role, you are responsible for raw materials category procurement strategy creation and execution in accordance with business and supply chain management strategy and processes.  

  The work model for the role is: hybrid; #LI-Hybrid    This role is contributing to the IEC LV Motors Division in Finland/Vaasa. This role operates at the intersection of Supply Chain Management, purchasing, supplier quality, production, and global/divisional functions such as PMO, R&D, sales. You are working closely with other sourcing categories as raw materials are essential part of majority of required components. In addition to our local, skilled SCM-team, You will be supported also by our own SCM EM-teams in India and China as well as the global divisional category management.    You will be accountable for: 

  • Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Sourcing process for creating and implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy. 
  • Creating raw material category supply models using Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and complying with multisourcing targets. 
  • Optimizing customs duties and additional cost burdens such as CBAM.  
  • Driving supplier performance, supply chain capability, and operational stability to support IEC LV Motors Finland meet current and future business requirements and growth targets towards 2030. 
  • Leading structured supplier development initiatives, ensuring high delivery reliability, quality performance, cost competitiveness and sustainability in transparent collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders. 
  • Managing, planning and tracking of category spend, budget, savings and supplier performance KPI's. 
  • Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability) in accordance with company policies. 
  • Negotiating supply frame agreements.

 

  Qualifications for the role 

  • Experience in supply chain management in an industry sector 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or similar 
  • Proactive, analytical, target-oriented way of working and combined with interest to develop further 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-cultural environment 
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken with Finnish seen as an advantage 
  • Proven capability in cross‑functional project management and leadership skills with the ability to motivate people to thrive.
