We are looking for candidates who are genuinely passionate about robotics/AI and have a strong desire to innovate. They should be excited about the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and demonstrate a track record of creative problem-solving.

The candidates should have experience in electronics design, as well as a deep understanding of the field's technical challenges and advancements. They should be able to see opportunities where others might see only challenges and devise innovative solutions to problems.

Vision of the Company‍

Physical Robotics AS is a start-up company based in Norway. The company is backed by a top VC in Norway and local industries and investors in the Oslo-Viken region. We are at the forefront of humanoid robot development, creating robots that can perform physical tasks with dexterity similar to humans for jobs that humans do not want to do.

The company participates in the race to develop robot hardware and physical intelligence, competing with big players such as Tesla, Figure, Boston Dynamics, Toyota, Xiaomi, and 1X Technologies. We expect to catch the trend of humanoid robot applications in manufacturing and industries by 2027-2028.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in managing day-to-day accounting tasks such as bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
  2. Support preparation of financial statements and reports.
  3. Help with the budgeting and forecasting process.
  4. Track and manage expenses, invoices, and vendor payments.
  5. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and applicable regulations.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as R&D and manufacturing, to manage costs effectively.
  7. Participate in audits and help ensure data accuracy.
  8. Conduct financial research and analysis relevant to the robotics industry.
  9. Support tax filing processes and maintain financial records.

Requirements:

  1. Educational Qualifications:
    • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
    • Basic knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
  2. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and ERP systems.
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
    • Familiarity with financial modeling and data analysis tools is a plus.
    • Knowledge of robotics or technology-related industry costs (optional but advantageous).
  3. Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Additional Skills:
    • Interest in the robotics or technology industry.
    • Familiarity with cost accounting, particularly for manufacturing settings.
    • Awareness of financial trends and implications in innovative industries like robotics.
  5. Certifications (Optional but Preferred):
    • Basic accounting certifications (e.g., CPA Foundation, ACCA Foundation) or ongoing certification studies.
