Key responsibilities

You are responsible for the commercial and technical management of projects in the Critical Power business, with a focus on Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. As the primary point of contact, you coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal ABB stakeholders throughout the entire project lifecycle.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of projects involving UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems and related electrical infrastructure.

  • Coordinate all project phases, from the proposal stage through detailed engineering, implementation, and commissioning.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

  • Lead and coordinate internal project teams as well as external contractors and service providers.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, documentation, and progress reports.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Identify project risks, perform risk assessments, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and health and safety requirements.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification (e.g., State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsman qualification).

  • Several years of project management experience, ideally in UPS systems, critical power, or power distribution projects.

  • Good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., VDE, DIN).

  • Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Fluent German and good English communication skills, both written and spoken.

  • Willingness to travel as required by project needs.
