Your role and responsibilities In this role, The Project Engineer coordinates assigned aspects of analytical projects and supports Project Managers in management and execution of the project. Executes work packages as assigned and supervised by a Project Manager.

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:

  • Ensuring compliance with standard ABB internal directives and procedure(s), relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and contractual requirements. Ensures compliance with National and International Engineering standards, rules and directives to fulfill contractual requirements.

  • Conducting analysis of planned versus actual project performance under the supervision of the Project Manager or the Engineering Manager • Prepares materials and assists in project reviews.

  • Issuing, monitoring, controlling, and releasing requests of orders (RDA) based on project specifications assuring timely and cost-effective project delivery. Communicating appropriate information to project stakeholders effectively.

  • Taking necessary actions (when appropriate and in collaboration with the Project/engineering management) to mitigate project HSE risks.

  • Defining and applying basic project planning techniques on ongoing projects and driving the updating process. Taking ownership of the assigned task and coordinating with related project members for planning and control requirements effectively.

  • Issuing the project list and the relevant documentation directly or with the support of defined external resources, controls documentation accuracy and consistency based on tasks assigned by Project Manager according to the contractual requirements and procedures agreed with the customer

  • Ensuring the issuance of purchase orders and engineering on time, and expecting costs in compliance with contractual obligations and assigned business objectives.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are immersed in engineering rules, project techniques, processes and tools with a strong focus on safe work practices and all relevant workplace safety guidelines.

  • You have at least 4 years of experience in process automation business, working with instrumentation and analyzers system solution is preferred.

  • You possess a high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.

  • You have a collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong written and spoken communication skills

  • Degree in Chemical, Electrical or related careers.

  • You are at ease communicating in English and Italian.

Compensation Package 

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico  

Minimum annual salary: € 48.000

Variable Pay: AIP target 5% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus

The offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.
