We’re searching for a Senior Project Manager to help us expand in Denmark and build our network of charging stations there. You will join a growing team in the Construction Management department of Fastned. Together with 300+ colleagues spread across Europe (40 nationalities and counting), we have big plans: we are building a Europe-wide network of 1,000 beautiful fast-charging stations where electric drivers can charge their cars with energy from the sun and wind. Your role

As the Senior Project Manager Construction, you will be an integral part of an experienced and international team and you will deal with all aspects of delivering high quality charging stations across Denmark. In this role, you are working in close cooperation with the Construction Lead New Markets as well as the Country Manager Denmark. 

The responsibilities include acquisition and realization of grid connections, the collaboration with engineering partners, as well as the material supply and planning for the construction. You will monitor the schedules and budgets and coordinate with numerous internal and external stakeholders from Denmark and abroad. This role will take you to visit business partners or sites, where you will be able to demonstrate negotiation skills, a hands-on mentality, high quality standards and an eye for details. In addition, you will create a roadmap for construction initiation in a new country by identifying new local partners, by analyzing standards and by ensuring safety compliance at different stages of the project. You will also support the network development team in site evaluations and due diligence.

As part of your onboarding, you will participate in a series of exciting workshops where you will learn everything important about electric mobility and fast charging infrastructure. Who we are looking for

You are a real team player and you have the ability to think on your own feet - you feel comfortable taking initiative and responsibility. You are not afraid to make mistakes and you are always keen to keep on learning. “Think like a founder” is something you identify easily with. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

  • Degree in engineering, business or equivalent; (experience or knowledge in the area of construction is positive but not a requirement)

  • Strong technical affinity;

  • 6+ years of experience in deployment and/or construction or equivalent;

  • Ability to work structured and prioritize your tasks efficiently;

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills;

  • Excellent organizational skills and a high level of initiative;

  • Ability to navigate and manage stakeholder dynamics; 

  • Willingness to travel abroad and within Denmark to visit partners and construction sites;

  • (Near-)native level of Danish and business level in English are a must;

  • Driving license;

  • A genuine interest in the energy transition and Fastned’s mission.
