On a mission

At DeltaQuad, you’ll work on technology that truly matters. As a pioneer in long-range electric VTOL drones, we build robust platforms in collaboration with trusted partners, deployed worldwide across defence, agriculture, and inspection. Our drones are reliable, user-friendly, and built to perform in demanding environments.

We combine technical innovation with a pragmatic approach. What we do today determines where we’ll be tomorrow, and you’ll play a crucial role in that journey.

Our core values:

Partnerships: We grow together through long-term collaboration and shared success.

Customer focus: We think and act based on our customers’ needs.

Ownership: We take responsibility for what we do.

Innovation: We seek smart, practical solutions that work.

Excellence: We aim for quality and results.

Team spirit: We build trust, foster growth, and enjoy together.

The role

As a UAV Calibration Technician & Test pilot at DeltaQuad, you play a key role in validating and optimising the performance of our UAV systems. You are responsible for preparing, executing, and analysing test activities for our VTOL drone platforms, ensuring reliable and consistent system behaviour across all operational scenarios.

You work at the intersection of engineering, production, and field operations. By conducting structured flight tests and calibration procedures, you verify the performance of flight control systems, propulsion systems, sensors, and payload integration.

You analyse flight logs and test data to identify opportunities for improvement and support engineering teams in refining system performance, reliability, and safety. Your work ensures that every system leaving production meets DeltaQuad’s high standards for operational performance.

You enjoy working hands-on with hardware, operating drones in real-world environments, troubleshooting technical challenges, and translating test results into actionable improvements.

Your work directly contributes to the reliability, safety, and operational capability of DeltaQuad UAV systems deployed worldwide.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute structured UAV flight tests for system validation and performance verification

  • Perform calibration of sensors, autopilot systems, propulsion interfaces, and payload integrations

  • Develop and maintain flight test procedures and validation protocols

  • Analyse flight logs and system telemetry to evaluate system behaviour and performance

  • Validate system functionality across multiple flight phases, including VTOL, transition, and fixed-wing operation

  • Document test results and provide clear technical feedback to engineering and production teams

  • Support improvement of system performance, reliability, and flight stability

  • Ensure safe execution of drone operations in compliance with aviation regulations and operational procedures.

What you bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, robotics, or a related technical field

  • Valid EU drone pilot certificates A1, A2, and A3 are required for conducting UAV flight operations

  • Experience with UAV systems, robotics, or flight testing is a strong plus

  • An understanding of flight control systems, sensors, and UAV system architecture is preferred

  • Experience analysing flight logs or telemetry data is a plus

  • Hands-on, analytical, and precise. You enjoy diagnosing technical issues and improving system performance

  • Comfortable working both in the lab and in outdoor field test environments

  • A team player who communicates clearly and takes ownership

  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

What we offer

  • Coaching and professional growth opportunities.

  • 27 vacation days (based on full-time).

  • 38-hour workweek with flexible working hours.

  • Travel reimbursement of €0.25/km or full compensation for public transport (2nd class).

  • Excellent pension scheme through the PME pension fund.

  • Work in an innovative, high-tech environment with real-world impact.

  • Open, informal company culture where your ideas are valued.

  • Lunch provided by DeltaQuad, monthly team drinks, and regular team activities.

Please note that, as part of our recruitment process, we may request a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and conduct a background screening in accordance with our screening policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation throughout this process.
