As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing the next generation of Rocsys products. You will turn innovative concepts into reliable, production-ready hardware and contribute directly to the technology that is shaping the future of electric mobility.

You will work on complex mechanical challenges, from early concepts and prototypes to scalable products. With a high level of ownership and close collaboration across disciplines, you will influence the design decisions that define the reliability, performance, and future growth of our autonomous charging technology.

Your impact as Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will own the mechanical development of key components and systems within our autonomous charging solutions. From early concepts and prototypes to production-ready designs, you ensure our products are robust, reliable, manufacturable, and scalable.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. Together, you will solve complex engineering challenges and continuously improve our products.

Your expertise will directly contribute to building charging technology that enables the transition towards more sustainable transportation.

In this role, you will

Design and develop innovative hardware

  • Own the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components for Rocsys products.

  • Translate concepts into detailed designs, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.

  • Develop robust mechanical solutions, including mechatronic components such as actuators and sensors.

  • Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and continuous improvement based on test results.

Improve reliability and scalability

  • Drive improvements in product reliability, performance, cost, and manufacturability.

  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles to create scalable solutions.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure designs can be produced efficiently.

Collaborate and contribute to engineering excellence

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration between mechanical, electrical, and software components.

  • Coordinate with external engineering partners when additional expertise or capacity is needed.

  • Contribute to improving engineering processes, technical standards, and ways of working within Rocsys.

What you bring to Rocsys

You are an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and bringing innovative products from idea to reality. You combine strong engineering fundamentals with a practical mindset and enjoy working in an environment where ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement are key.

Your experience and knowledge

Required experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical product development.

  • Experience taking products from concept phase through development and into production.

  • Strong experience with 3D CAD design (SolidWorks experience preferred).

  • Experience designing mechanical and/or mechatronic systems.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and design considerations for production.

  • Experience working with prototypes, testing, validation, and design improvements.

Technical expertise that is valuable

  • Experience with sheet metal design, welding, plastic components, or aluminium casting.

  • Experience applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

  • Experience with simulation tools such as SolidWorks Simulation.

  • Experience working in robotics, automotive, or other high-tech product environments.
