Are you passionate about orchestrating complex R&D projects across cutting-edge hardware, software, and robotics domains?

Are you interested in bridging the gap between highly specialized engineering disciplines to deliver next-generation autonomous solutions?

Do you want to play a key role in developing next-generation solutions for partners recognized as international leaders in clean and autonomous mobility?

If so, we want you on our team as our new Senior Project Manager!

Who we are

We are a fast-growing high-tech company with a clear mission: accelerating the transition to sustainable mobility through hands-free charging technology.

By combining soft robotics, computer vision, and software, we build reliable solutions that make fleet electrification easier and more scalable.

We are a global organization, headquartered in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, with a U.S. office in Portland, OR.

Together, we are building a cleaner future.

You make the difference

As a Senior Project Manager at Rocsys, you will direct the execution of technically complex product development projects from concept to deployment. You will serve as the central connector between Product Management, Product Development (R&D), Supply Chain, and Customer Success.

What makes this role impactful is your ability to coordinate complex project delivery across two distinct axes:

  • Multidisciplinary R&D Execution: You synchronize highly diverse engineering tracks—including hardware, electronics, embedded/cloud software, computer vision, AI, and robotics—to ensure integrated system delivery.

  • Cross-Departmental Alignment: Rather than defining requirements or architecture, you own the execution bridge. You translate Product Management’s strategic roadmap into R&D milestones, and manage the operational handover to Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Service.

Your core focus remains on tracking the critical path, keeping timelines rigid, and safeguarding quality and cost boundaries.

In this role you will

Drive Multidisciplinary Engineering Execution

  • Collaborate closely with and align engineers across a wide variety of technical disciplines: system engineering, hardware design, electronics, embedded software, cloud applications, computer vision, AI, and robotics.

Manage End-to-End NPI Projects

  • Lead complex product development cycles.

  • Relentlessly manage project schedules, proactively tracking dependencies and safeguarding the critical path and scope.

Support Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Establish transparent communication loops between R&D teams and internal business pillars (Supply Chain, Production, Field Service, and Procurement).

  • Communicating technical engineering status updates for high-level strategic alignment with product management and executives.

What you will bring into Rocsys

Your knowledge and experience

  • A completed Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a highly technical field or Business Administration with an affinity with deep-tech.

  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a project manager within a high-tech, complex product development or R&D environment.

  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex hardware-software integrated products.

  • A technical foundation allowing you to think critically at a systems level and engage constructively with domain experts across technical disciplines.

  • Clear and concise communication skills.

  • Willing to travel occasionally to support key validation or deployment phases.

  • Experience working within an international technical organization.

What we offer

  • A 32–40 hour work week

  • Hybrid working model with flexible hours

  • Salary range between € 7.500 and € 10.500 gross monthly

  • Employee stock option plan

  • 25 vacation days, with the option to purchase 5 additional days

  • Bicycle plan

  • Strong career development opportunities as we scale

  • A dynamic and collaborative company culture

  • Free daily vegetarian lunch

  • Wednesday afternoon drinks

  • Easily accessible office in Rijswijk

*This role is based in the Netherlands. Applicants must currently reside in Europe and be legally authorized to work within the European Union.

Our company values

  • We own it!

  • Relentlessly Inventive
