Role As Technical Project Manager at SE3, you will own end-to-end delivery across defence R&D programmes involving engineering teams, consortium partners and public-sector customers. You will drive execution from kickoff to final acceptance, maintain clarity on priorities and commitments across all workstreams, and ensure risks are visible and managed before they affect outcomes. This is a role with genuine delivery ownership and direct exposure to senior stakeholders at a company building some of the most advanced autonomous systems in Europe.

  • Own project delivery from kickoff to final acceptance across scope, milestones, budget and quality

  • Maintain the project roadmap and keep engineering, commercial and partner workstreams aligned on priorities and commitments

  • Build and run the project operating rhythm: planning cadence, decision logs, change control and structured follow-through on actions and owners

  • Represent SE3 in customer, partner and consortium meetings with clear, credible communication

  • Identify and manage risks and dependencies proactively, bringing structured options and trade-offs to programme leadership before issues affect delivery

  • Develop governance frameworks and delivery playbooks that allow SE3 to run multiple concurrent programmes with consistency and speed

Your profile

  • A degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or an adjacent MINT discipline

  • 3+ years of professional experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical programmes; a consulting background in defence or regulated environments is strongly preferred

  • Hands-on experience with defence or public-sector programmes, EU-funded R&D, consortium structures

  • Strong documentation skills

  • Native-level German and full professional fluency in English, written and spoken

Given the nature of SE3's work in the defence sector, candidates must be eligible to obtain and hold the security clearance required for this role.

What we value

  • Ownership: take responsibility for outcomes and remove obstacles to delivery without requiring direction

  • Execution: convert discussions into clear decisions, decisions into deliverables

  • High standards: hold yourself and the team to a consistently high standard of work

Perks & benefits

  • 31 paid days off: 30 vacation days plus your birthday off

  • Well-being access: free membership to gyms, yoga and wellness through EGYM Wellpass

  • Team offsites: 2 company retreats per year
